Meet the [p3] EQ-Team 2020/2021!

It is our pleasure to present the EQ-Team 2020/2021!

Merhawi.

Father of two daughters drives 1.5h the train here and back from Sulzburg to Freiburg, in order to prepare for the Vocational Training #Ausbildung in Germany. Merhawi’s faithfulness and reliability matches his motivation, since he is every day punctual and ready to learn. He is an Asset to our Team and we are happy that in the past few months, he has falling in love with the work of a carpenter does and is now dreaming of a Vocational Training as a Carpenter!

Merhawi, we are cheering for you and the company that decides to give you that Chance will be a lucky one! We are proud of your progress!

Youssef.

Youssef has fallen in love with Carpentry and can already see himself building beautiful furniture out of wood, which traps CO2 with every furniture made. Youssef has not only understood the beauty and the impact of working with wood, but has felt in love with the process, steps and art behind it. We are excited to see where Youssef ends up as a Carpenter in the Vocational Training #Ausbildung. 

Dawda.

A loyal and true soul. Dawda realized after a month of working with wood, that that is not his heart’s desire. Since then, he started over with the basics, this time in area of Metall & Elektro. Dawda, your motivation, respect and reliability makes a fit candidate for whatever type of Vocational Training #Ausbildung you decide to do after p3! We are thankful to have you in our Team and are cheering for you!!

Jeniton.

Our youngster, who encourages the rest of our team members and his good mood keeps our rest of team awake, ready to go and is a team player! We are thankful for Jeniton, how much he is willing to keep challenging himself forward, setting for himself new goals, being realistic with himself and communicating along the way with us. Jeniton’s dream is being a Carpenter, and we are thankful at p3, he is able to prepare well to apply to enter Vocational Training. We are cheering for you, Jeniton!  

Zaher.

Zaher’s love to work with machines has taken him to accel in our Metall Workshop and learn new skills that prepare him for the Vocational Training. We are excited to see which field and direction Zaher decides to take for the Vocational Training #Ausbildung! Zaher, we are cheering for you!

Haji.

Hajis example of his time at p3 is unfortunately an example of what bureaucracy and a long time as a refugee from country to country can do to a person. Hajis motivation to finally be able to learn in his life, after living in three different countries with a refugee status and only being able to attend language courses, is high. Haji understands than a Chance to be able to learn for his future is a privilege and we can see his high motivation due to this in the Workshop and in the Classroom!

Haji, regardless of what the next step is for you, we will help you find the right place after p3! Thank you for your motivation and determination to learn!

This team is a special one. We’ve been through a lot together…The Corona, the lockdown, the first stages on getting to know each other and all the challenges that come with starting something new have brought a special dynamic to this team. Right now, we are thankful to have each other through these crazy times, to learn from each other and together. If you put any put of people through the same challenge of learning, its normal that there will be seasons of competition, seasons of laughing at each other and then with each other, seasons of tiredness, seasons of excitement, seasons of sickness, seasons of trying to keep up, seasons of thriving. It is safe to say each one of these men has gone through a lot, we all have around the world, but we are glad to have done it together. 

Last month, the men took their mid-term exams to evaluate their progress here at p3 since day one and be able to start planning the next steps after p3 and their learning goals for the months left until August. So yes, we are now at an important time this school year! It’s a good time to look back, enjoy the process and to dream of the next step.

We hope that whatever season you are during these crazy times, that you can be thankful for where you are now, for the people that you do get to see, for the progress you have done and we have all done collectively. 

We hope that when you see the p3-Team on our social media daily, it encourages you to keep going to your next step. We are almost there, we got this!!
